OUR STORY

H3O Jazz Trio features a father and his two sons. They began playing together in 2011 when the younger son, Max, was only 14 years old. Along with older brother Hans on drums and vibes and dad Eric on the piano the group was asked to play for a private pool party and hasn’t stopped since!


H3O performs a wide variety of jazz styles including original music. They have worked as the rhythm section for numerous area professionals including Minnesota Music Hall of Fame’s Les Fields,The D’Sievers, and Dr. John Paulson


JAZZ JAMS / FUNDRAISERS

The Winona, MN trio hosts a monthly Jazz Jam at Two Fathoms Brewing on the third Sunday of every month from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Beginning in April 2021, the group partnered with then Island City Brewing Company to create a monthly fundraiser as part of the Jazz Jam. Since then, H3O Jazz Trio and Two Fathoms Brewing (formerly Island City) have helped support local nonprofits with over $74,000 in total donations thanks to the generosity of Jazz Jam patrons! H3O matches all donations and Two Fathoms Brewing contributes 20% of their Jazz Jam Sunday profits – everybody wins!

ALBUMS

TafelJazz, the group’s first album of original songs celebrating people, places, and special events was released in September 2023. Their holiday album, Combo Carols, released in November 2025, features 13 original mash-ups of favorite holiday carols and jazz standards. Both albums are available on CD and through all major streaming services.
